Sporterizing an M96
I inherited a half completed, poorly done sporterized Swede M96. It was fitted with a cock-on-open conversion and a Dayton-Traister safety. The barrel had been turned in a lathe to remove the steps, and was cut to 25 inches.
I installed a Precise Metalsmithing Safety. Three Pages
The bolt handle was re-done and the stock re-worked.
A two-piece Leupold scope base set was installed.
The Action was Blasted and coated with Brownells Stainless Steel Lacquer.
