Now that I have a center-drilled hole, I can radius the big end.

Ý Ý Ý The radius cut is made by rotating the part around a pin set in a fixture while cutting.

The final milling cut is to narrow the lever arm. This is done while holding the piece in a clamping fixture.

Then three holes are drilled into the lever, each one is first center drilled and then drilled through using a #29 drill.

And finally, the first and last hole are threaded ( 8 x 32 )using a tapping device in the drill press.

Then the pieces are placed in a vibrator "tumbler" along with some "Black Beauty" blast media for about 48 hours to remove burrs, sharp edges and what not.

Then on to the anodizing process.
