These are the techniques and equipment that I use to produce reloaded cartridges for bolt and semi-automatic rifles. Other techniques and equipment may be: better/worse, cheaper/costlier, safer/more dangerous or whatever. Read this stuff and use it or not, at your own risk!

A classy way to dispense powder charges is to use one of the Electronic Dispenser/Scale combo units.

The dispenser is shown to the left, with the clear reservoir filled with powder. To the right is an electronic scale. The dispenser and scale communicate via an infrared link, the same as a TV/VCR clicker. In use, the desired charge weight is entered into the dispenser via the front mounted keypad, the "dispense" button is pressed, and the powder is transferred to the scale pan until the correct amount is reach, and the dispenser halts. The pan is emptied and the "dispense" button is pressed again, and so on. The unit above was sold by RCBS and appears to be the same as that marketed (and manufactured) by Pact.
